2 Corinthians 4:18
while we don’t look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal.

LOOK BEYOND THE SURFACE
Paul is not pretending suffering is small.
He is comparing it with what it is producing.
The visible pain is real —
but it is not the whole story.
What we can see has an expiration date.
God’s work in us reaches further
than today’s circumstances.
WHEN TODAY FEELS TOO LOUD
A diagnosis, a deadline,
a lonely night, or a hard conversation
can fill your whole field of vision.
This verse does not ask you
to deny what hurts.
It asks you to stop treating the visible
as ultimate.
Faith looks at today honestly —
and beyond it, too.
ONE SMALL STEP
Name the thing taking up
most of your attention.
Bring it to God in one honest sentence.
Then pause before you scroll,
and remember: what you see today
is not all that is real.
REFLECT
What eternal truth do you need to remember today?
