THE SURPRISING PART

Jesus does not describe a leader who protects people only when it is convenient.

He contrasts the good shepherd with a hired hand who runs when danger comes.

The difference is not appearance.

It is commitment.

WHEN LIFE GETS HARD

Some people stay close while everything is easy.

Then pressure arrives: bad news, conflict, grief, failure.

John 10 shows a deeper kind of care.

Love does not disappear when the situation becomes costly.

ONE SMALL STEP

Notice one person who is carrying something difficult.

Do not rush to fix it.

Stay present.

What would faithful care look like for them today?
