Philippians 2:3
doing nothing through rivalry or through conceit, but in humility, each counting others better than himself;

LOOK CLOSER
Paul is talking about a community, not a competition.
The danger is not only open conflict.
It is the quiet need to win, be noticed, or come out on top.
Humility changes what we count as important.
WHAT ABOUT US?
Rivalry can hide in ordinary places:
who gets credit,
whose idea wins,
who is listened to first.
We can support people in public
and still keep score in our heads.
That is where this verse gets uncomfortably practical.
ONE SMALL STEP
In one conversation today,
ask one extra question before sharing your own view.
Make room for the other person
without needing to be the most important voice.

Where does rivalry show up in your life?
