Romans 12:21
Don’t be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

THE SURPRISING PART
Paul is not saying,
‘Just ignore the evil.’
He says not to let it
choose your response.
Romans 12 has already named
the alternatives:
don’t repay evil for evil,
bless those who hurt you,
and leave revenge to God.
Good is not weakness here.
It is a different way to fight.
HERE’S WHERE IT HITS HOME
Someone sends a sharp message.
You want to send one back.
Someone leaves you out.
You start planning how to make
them feel it too.
That is how evil spreads:
not only through big acts,
but through copied reactions.
You may not control
what they did.
You can still choose
what it turns you into.
ONE SMALL STEP
Before you answer
the person who upset you,
wait ten minutes.
Then choose one response
that is truthful, kind,
and does not return harm
for harm.
REFLECT
What would “good” look like in your next response?
