Jeremiah 17:7
“Blessed is the man who trusts in Yahweh, and whose confidence is in Yahweh.

LOOK CLOSER
This verse is part of a contrast.
The person who trusts in human strength is pictured like a dry shrub.
The person who trusts in Yahweh is pictured like a tree near water.
The difference is not that hard days disappear.
It is where the roots are.
REAL LIFE
We all lean on something.
A salary.
A strong personality.
A relationship.
A plan that seems secure.
Those things can help us.
But they were never meant to carry the weight of our confidence.
What supports you when the plan breaks?
ONE SMALL STEP
Name one thing you are trusting more than God right now.
Bring it to him honestly before you try to control it again.
REFLECT
Where do you most need deeper roots today?
