Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,” says Yahweh, “thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future.

CONTEXT MATTERS
This was written to people living in exile in Babylon.
The promise came with a hard truth: their exile would last seventy years.
Hope here is not a shortcut out of trouble.
It is confidence that God had not abandoned them.
WHEN LIFE FEELS ON HOLD
Some seasons feel like exile.
Plans change. Home feels unfamiliar.
The future feels far away.
This verse does not promise instant success.
A painful chapter is not the whole story.
We can keep living faithfully while we wait.
ONE SMALL STEP
Name one part of life you cannot fix today.
Bring it honestly to God.
Then do the next faithful thing in front of you.
Hope can begin with faithful steps before circumstances change.
REFLECT
What are you still waiting for?
